What's New At Tinder Box?
Free newsletter submission added to site
In October 2010 a facility enabling visitgors to submit for the free newsletter was added to the education page and the traditional craft page. The first edition has articles for education on:choosing a resource provider, post visit resource update, discovery boxes - a free resoruce for teachers on emigrtants to New Zealand in the 1840 -1880 period and 'On the Road' a providers perspective. For crafts people there is information on draw knife restoration, Shaker style boxes and craft courses.

Recent additions and changes.
Relaunch of the Tinder box site. August 2010 new craft page, new online store page, improved navigation
My site, rather like my middle-aged self, had grown and put on some unneccesary weight and needed a makeover. So I put it on a diet and simplified navigation, reduced clutter, deleted pages, added a new craft page an online store page combining my long standing pipe store with my new shake style boxes for sale. Gone are the background colours and a new clean look prevails.
Craft in support of Toys before electricity activity.
Tinder Box has created a new activity: "Crafts in support of Toys" which meets the requirements of the Technology Curriculum and addresses teachers resource requirements. Students make a toy.
