Newspaper: The 'New Zealander' was published in Auckland twice a week chronicling the sayings and doings of the Auckland public for the four preceding days.

Arriving Mail. Letters were available a few hours after the arrival of a vessel, but a box might take a week to be unloaded.
Available: It was possible to buy in Auckland: Burgundy, Hock, Moselle, Yarmouth Bloaters, Kippered Salmon, Pickled oysters and Hare soup.
